July 2025 - Kenya Mobile Internet Access Initiative Launched
Our newest Passion Project partner, Global Affairs Development Union (GADU), has presented IHRC with the opportunity to help them address the global ‘digital divide’ in Kenya’s coastal fishing communitiesby providing mobile internet access to small-scale fisherfolk near Kisumu and Mombasa. GADU is based in Nairobi, Kenya; IHRC first connected with them during our trip to the Summit of the Future last September.
We’re deep into our fundraising efforts right now, targeting a launch later this fall of Phase 1: Research and Development.
